The Oaks Swim Centre
About:
This 18-month initiative offers participants water safety education, swimming lessons, and CPR and First Aid training, providing them with crucial lifesaving skills. In Stage 2, participants will receive accredited training as Swim Teachers and Pool Lifeguards, offering a holistic pathway into the Aquatic Industry and leading to employment opportunities and professional development. This program will run at various locations across the Adelaide Metro area, targeting 375 participants and impacting thousands of South Australians by tailoring the programs to cultural needs and norms.
Duration: 6 weeks
Dates: Every Tuesday from 29th April to 3rd June 2025
Lesson time: 6:30-7:15pm; 7:15-8:00pm; 8:00-9:45pm (45 minutes each lesson)
Locations: The Oaks Swim Centre, 11 Blacks Rd, Gilles Plains SA 5086

Beach Smarts For Life
Water Safety Education Program—2024
About:
"Beach Smart for Life" program, which focuses on enhancing water safety knowledge among Chinese international students in Australia. Supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, this program includes water survival skills, CPR training, and beach safety sessions. Our goal is to recruit 100 Chinese Australian participants for each program delivery, fostering a deeper connection to water safety in multicultural communities.
Participants will enjoy free lunch and snacks, receive exclusive merchandise and gift bags, and earn an accredited CPR certification upon completion of the program.
