Royal Life Saving's Swim and Survive program ensures children all over Australia get the very best swimming and water safety education backed by over 125 years of experience in swimming and lifesaving, based on evidence-based research.
The Swim and Survive program aims to reduce the number of drowning deaths by providing all Australians with sound swimming, personal survival, basic rescue and lifesaving skills. Fatal drowning numbers and rates for children aged 0-4 years has significantly reduced in recent years due to increased education
The program aligns itself with the National Water Safety Framework and School Curriculum, ensuring that individuals have the opportunity to achieve development milestones of the Framework stages as well as the outcomes of the National Benchmarks.
Swim and Survive caters for children of all ages and abilities. The comprehensive and balanced curriculum will guide learning through progressive steps, providing an opportunity to grasp the fundamental skills through to developing more challenging skills, increasing in endurance and complexity.

We invite you to become a Swim and Survive Partner and be part of the largest water safety education program in Australia.
Being a Partner is more than just delivering Swim and Survive, it’s a mission to work together with Royal Life Saving to prevent drowning, provide water safety education and promote safe active participation in aquatic activities.
A Swim and Survive Partner is sanctioned to utilise the Swim and Survive program curriculum and resources. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll have access to the many partner benefits.
Swim and Survive is a program that can easily be implemented into a large aquatic facility, a private swim school, swimming club or even be delivered as a school swimming and water safety program, delivered by school teachers. The program includes a comprehensive set of resources and awards to support its delivery.

To begin your Swim and Survive Partner journey, you will need to follow these steps:
Becoming a Partner to deliver the Swim and Survive program is easy! We will help you along the way.
Step 1:
Complete the Swim and Survive Partnership Forms including the Partner Agreement, Venue Audit and Membership Form
Step 2:
Send Your Completed Forms to Royal Life Saving SA via education@royallifesavingsa.com.au
Please be aware that there may be a wait of a few days while your membership and forms are processed.
Step 3:
Pay the Swim and Survive Annual Fee online via our website
Step 4:
Get Access to the Swim and Survive Hub
Once all your forms have been processed, an email will be provided to you with login details to access the Swim and Survive Hub. It is the online site where all the current Swim and Survive resources can be found.
Step 5:
Start using the Swim and Survive Program!
