This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills relevant to the supervision and operation of an aquatic facility, plant and associated equipment and the monitoring and maintaining of water quality. This course is the industry standard for pool supervisors.

This course involves theory and practical components including:

  • Pool maintenance

  • Filtration systems

  • Developing maintenance programs

  • Water monitoring

  • Equipment operation

  • Routine water testing safe chemical handling

  • Implementing workplace policy and procedure

  • Standards and legislation

  • Disinfection procedures

  • Risk analysis

  • Responding to emergencies

  • You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa which allows you to enrol in our VET training courses.

    Please be aware that Royal Life Saving Society Australia South Australia Branch Inc (RTO 0996) is not registered as a CRICOS provider. We can only accept international students who hold Student Visa (Subclass 500), if the 8201 condition (maximum 3 months study) is listed on the visa document.

    At time of enrolment, participants are required to provide their valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) for authentication purposes by Royal Life Saving SA. A USI serves as a unique reference number mandated by the Commonwealth statutory office under the Student Identifiers Act 2014, and it can be obtained from the USI Registrar at www.usi.gov.au
